Question : The volume of cylinder pipe is 748 cm3. Its length is 0.14 m and its internal radius is 0.09 m. Find the thickness of the pipe.
Doubt by Saksham
Solution :
Volume of the cylindrical Pipe = 748 cm3
Height of the cylindrical Pipe
= Length
= 0.14 m
= 0.14×100 = 14 cm
Internal Radius of the pipe (r)
= 0.09 m
= 0.09×100 cm
= 9 cm
External Radius of the pipe (R) = ?
Volume of cylindrical Pipe = πh(R2-r2)
748 = πh(R2-r2)
Thickness of the pipe
= External Radius - Internal Radius
= R - r
= 9.9 cm - 9 cm
= 0.9 cm
= 9.9 cm - 9 cm
= 0.9 cm
Hence, the thickness of the pipe is 0.1 cm
